Mobile Technologies
More and more people are being introduced to the world of smart phones, this makes the user have the ability to do more things, like surf the web, and go on Social Networking sites on the go. This is merging home and work, making people answering work e-mails while travelling or at home, and people being able to surf through their Social Networking sites during their lunch and on the go. This is slowly making our work and home life one, with people e-mailing each other in and out of work hours.
I agree with this statement and with these mobile technologies, businesses are allowing their employees to work from home, which is effectively cutting costs for the business as they are not required to provide all the work materials for them. However with the employees working from home, the business isn't always able to supervise the work that is being done.
ReplyDeleteThis is very useful as we can now access everything on our smart phones including the internet by using 3g and 4g. Again with what hannah said it is harder for the work place to monitor you however this can be very useful for the employees as they can be more flexible with their time.
ReplyDeleteMobile devices are easy to use and very efficient. Therefore, people are able to use them to share information quickly, easily and efficiently. However, they can distract you from doing work, due to apps and games available to download and play on.
ReplyDeleteIn summary I have learnt that people share information quickly through different types of media. Also that mobile devices can sometime be costly to the work environment as they can distract people from their work, which makes productivity low.
